    Also use mirror mount.

Love my V1. Here in GA popo will sit sometimes in the middle of NO WHERE in my travels. If my V1 makes a peep on these back roads I listen to her every time. When I drive by them at the exact speed limit they always look perplexed.

I guess I should have been more clear, I have been through the update process with Valentine three times since '99.

I did research V1 G2 and read many posts after I posted.

    Thanks!

I also run the Mirror Mount on my Valentine. I'd recommend it. Occasionally you will get a very minor rattle from where the Valentine contacts the mount but its not substantial.

This is where I have mine mounted too with a mirrortap. Seems to work perfectly up there.

Dashcam and V1 share 1 harness and pull power and ground from the RVM connector.

For mounting, I just trimmed and screwed the V1 bracket to a gopro mount.

X2 Blend Mount for mounting to the mirror plus Mirror Tap to power it is the only way to go. Very clean install. Waiting on feedback from Gen 2 owners. Gen 1 has been great for the last 15+ years with the updates.blendmount.jpg

its good enough for some testers to say they are switching back to the V1. If that tells you anything.
