Valet Key??

    Just a cautious heads up...if it helps...

    1) I almost always use my valet key, and definitely use it if I need to leave the key with anyone, especially shops. That way, they can't make a copy of it then come back later to rip it off. They would have to order it or draw attention to themselves. My vehicle has no other locks than the doors, anyway.

    2) Record a copy of your key tag number, the little metal plate, and keep both at home.

    3) Valet key is grey, the masters are black.

    Agreed!

    Only time I ever did (maybe 2 times in over 3 years of ownership) was when my friend was working, and I parked myself last time.

    strange...I bought my truck new from the dealer in May 2013 and they said there is no valet key. I thought that was bogus too but am I being suckered :confused:??

    ex-wife use to mad at me because I would not use valets. I told her I don't let strangers drive my truck. Drivers at car dealers are just as bad. I have stood in service bay and watched them do burn outs and lock the brakes. I throw my valet key in clothes bag when I travelled. I demanded a third key when I found out my 13 did not come with one.
