Are valet keys available for 2022 Tacos? Bought my truck new about 16 months ago and it came with 2 key fobs. I don't have remote start either. I boat a lot, and I'm reluctant to take my keys with me on the boat. I'm going to northern MI next week, and I was wondering about this. It would suck big time to lose my key while I'm 350 miles from home.

My 17 came with two fobs (w/hidden keys) and a regular key for the door.
When I surf away from home I stash the key in the wetsuit pocket, and like to use a spare not an original.
I was going to get a copy of that door key but it's pretty damn expensive.

put your key in a waterproof pouch and tie it to your ballsack.
You'll know if it's getting away.

I had the dealership cut me a non chip key that fits the doors, and tailgate. They charged me $10.00.

It will fit the ignition, but they told me to never ever start the truck with it.

When I'm surfing I keep the key in a pocket on my leash.

This I think depends on what ignition system you have. The sr and Sr5 like mine have a regular key with teeth on 2 sides. I have a local locksmith cut me a non chip key for $5 and I hide it in one of those super magnetic key boxes under the truck in case I loose the key or lock them inside.

Same should be possible with the TRDs but they use push to start and I believe use a laser cut key that is very different for all the door and tailgate. Ask a locksmith, don't go to Lowes or some hardware store that cuts keys. They won't know how to cross reference the chip and non chip blanks.

I'd assume you have push button start based on what you're saying. Your fob has a hidden key you can detach and use for that purpose. You'll just have to hide the fob somewhere. You can deactivate the fob so it doesn't emit any signals by holding the lock button and then pushing the unlock button twice while still holding the lock button.

I don't have push button start. I like the idea of a non-chipped key so I can lock/unlock it without the fob. Heading to the dealer in a few...thanks!
