luckily for you, that would be an easy repair for the body shop guys as all they would do is re-skin the doors and slap another bedside on..it wont be as bad as you might imagine it to be

Haha, Al. Went to buy my brother his Christmas gift. Put my stuff in my passenger seat and as I was leaving the parking lot, it started to fall off. My instinct was to look over and stop it from falling. All within a split second and I was pinned up against a concrete pillar. Happened at very low speeds, but did some significant damage. Really bummed and pissed, but you live and learn.

I'm hoping this is the case! I found the OEM door skins online at about $190 for the rear and $225 for the front. Not worried about the bedsides because I'm going to replace them with fiberglass for my rear LT. At this point, I'm going to try to price it out myself and then decide if I want to go through the insurance route or pay out of pocket to keep my rates down.

Used to be a valet and I would definitely never valet any of my cars after what I have seen.

One valet totaled a brand new Roush mustang by gunning it out of the garage which made the mustang pretty much powerslide into a fire hydrant followed shortly by wrapping itself around a palmtree.

Other stories involve how valets love to test driving any type of sportscar in the garage...

At least he didn't total it???

I just remember staying in an hotel in DC with mandatory valet parking, and guy would park my conversion van by feel, into a brick wall, time and time again. Did a number on the fancy spare tire cover and mount...

We don't valet park much these days.

    Sorry about your damage.
I hate valet, I will walk pretty far to avoid.
My wife parked hers (6 speed manual vw) with a valet, almost, since none of they knew how to drive a manual.
