Nothing to me if I want to drive it on the road.

Maybe $10k if I wanted to convert to a solid axle and make it an off road only vehicle IF it is the V6 4.0L.

Do you want to get insurance? If something happened, would you be ok with insurance not paying out anything close to what you think the value is?

Depends if your buying or selling.

IN Pa reconstructed titles are far more of a headache then a simple salvage title

Different States have different laws some are simple some are very complex. Then they forever change so check what is current

Here in Pa a vehicle can get a salvage title for something as simple as a failed clutch or even just the clutch hydraulics. The owner just gets rid of the vehicle

Once the title has been processed by the vehicle recycle company to the state registering the vehicle then gets a salvage title.

It comes down to the condition of the vehicle.

The salvage titled vehicles I have bought over the last 20 years I have had no problems with insurance

true replacement airbag situ is very expensive

then there is the overriding shadow if replaced..........will they work subsequently

essentially the industry rule o thumb = total !!

I went through this some 10 years ago. Don't do it. The resale value will be crap once you decide to sell. Sometimes, insurance companies wont even insure it, or will only insure it for a much lower replacement value. There will ALWAYS be some damage that was concealed or at least not mentioned. Do yourself a favor and spend a little bit extra and buy a clean title vehicle, you'll thank yourself in the long run.

This is 1 of those threads where someone asks a question with absolutely no details. Then when pressed for details, they provide only a few clues as to what's going on and why they're asking. Unless the OP provides a lot more details, any answers to his original question will be a very inaccurate guess. We don't know if he bought it and fixed it himself and wants to sell it, or if he bought it, paid someone to do a shitty repair on it, and is curious if he made a bad investment.

What Bishop said. Some are very shotty junk buckets, others you'll never know they have a salvage title if you don't read it on the title. My old "98" Taco 4X4 was totaled, a couple of yrs. ago. All cosmetic. Knowing the quality of the truck, a friend got me to buy it back from the ins. then paid me for it. He fixed it, I still see it every day & get to drive it pretty often, & wish I had it back. As good now as it ever was, only has a salvage title. So yes $1.00 to $40,000 sounds pretty close.

As stated above, more details are needed for a good estimate. Is it a unrepaired salvage title, or does it have the "rebuilt salvage" designation? I paid $12k for my rebuilt title 2014 4x4 DCSB with 125k miles on it, and when it was totaled the other driver's insurance paid out $15.1k (taking into account the rebuilt title). Assuming the truck in question has a rebuilt designation, with half the miles, I would ballpark 13-17k if it's repaired and roadworthy.

if it has ANYTHING to do with water submersion, RUN, FAR FAR away.

Honestly unless it was going to be a wheeling rig / parts donor that was stupid cheap i wouldnt touch a salvage title vehicle with a 10ft pole.

How much per month would it cost to maintain this? Asking for a friend.
