Shouldn't make much difference. He also fabricates a new butterfly valve to seal properly (like yours isn't in the picture). The amount he bores out is pretty minimal (like a couple thousandths of an inch or so)

Hey guys.. still working this throttle body issue.. found one said to be from a 96 man trans cruise control. Picked it up locally, but the TPS sensor was different.
Found one on EBAY said to be from a 98 prerunner, auto trans. All looks exactly the same. IAC and TPS connectors all match...
Im getting mixed opinions on wheather it will work. Some say it has to match man trans - man trans... some say if fits, it will work.
All n all im just trying to keep it on the road so i can send mine in for repair. Butvim about to just buy a new one, this is getting silly

I did this when doing a valve job on my 3.4 but after measuring found that 70% of the shims i got from random yotas were 2.55-2.60 for some reason. All from 3 diff cars

Bummer. I must've gotten lucky in that case, because I got a pretty wide assortment out of just one 4runner
