I am currently replacing the valves cover gasket and spark plug gaskets. I have the cover off and the valve cover gasket off, but I messed up when removing the spark plug seals. There is a metal plate inside the cover that holds the spark plug seals in place. I have removed the inside of the seals but can't get the rest. Is there a way to remove that metal plate so I can fix my mistake?

The spark plug gaskets on the 2.7 are solid, encased rubber. There is no metal piece. The seal is inserted inside the center hole, and is pretty tight. Unless somehow the outer casing of the seal has come apart, you shouldn't see any metal. Can you post a picture?
