I need your help. I have a 2001 Tacoma that is leaking oil from the Valve Cover Gasket. I was hoping to do this replacement myself, but can not find a number of things i want to have before starting. Can anyone point me in the direction i can find them.
    1) The torque of bolts/nuts that will be needed to be removed in order to do the replacement
    2) The diagrams of the assembly
    3) The service manual with the steps in it

Anything will help me. Just post it.
    Thanks

    See this thread:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1s...y-how-thread-compiled-list-helpful-links.html

There is a link to a pdf of the factory service manual. There is also a video showing how to replace the valve cover gasket, at least for the 3.4L.

I don't think it lists torques for the valve cover bolts, but I've read 4-5 ft-lbs. If you find something different or anyone knows the "official" torque values please post.
