    Read your comment, went out to the truck just like you, and sure as sh*t my valve cover bolts were loose too :eek:....Then I read this whole post and re torqued the bolts to 53in lbs. Unreal how loose they were...im surprised I didnt have any leaks at all. EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS. Seems like its a common thing with the 3.4L 5VZ-FE.

    I have a 2002 Tacoma with a V6 (140, 000 miles). The valve covers are leaking and I want to try tighening the screws. Anybody know how tight?
    I have a torque wrench and would like to justify keeping it.
