I have a 07 Tacoma 2.4l with 180,651 miles on it. I have already changed the valve cover gasket in Jan. 2021 with mileage of 154,404. Has anyone had to change one out again with it having less 30,000 miles on it? The leak is in the same place that it was the first time. I am not going to do the changing myself this time, due to not wanting to hurt more for days to follow. Just curios is all and any thoughts on this. I use felt-pro gasket when I changed it out and used sealant at the housing breaks/cracks.

Sure they can, they are more likely to leak if you don't use RTV in correct places.
And some guys will say a torque wrench isn't needed, if you get the cover bolts too tight they can distort the gasket.

Other guys will say check pcv valve for proper operation. High pressure causes recurring leaks.

folks who work on cars do this:
    -avoid FelPro because it’s garbage
    -put good RTV where needed
-torque bolts to spec, replace if one time use
-liquid non drying sealer where useful
-verify PCV system in working order

did VCG with OEM. Years and many miles later no leaks.
