That's pretty awesome. I've pondered what it would take to swap my prerunner to 4X4. I have the 6sp manual also. How many miles have you put on it since the convert?

Thanks. 35k miles on it since the swap, last June. 6speed you would need to alter the automatic fj tcase, the tcase that sits behind the fj manual is full time 4wd. Wyatt at rock solid can get you a case. Otherwise all the same.

Tent was great Jason. It pissed rain a couple nights and stayed totally dry.

The sand stole my bumper :p rad got bent good too and muffler fell off. Barried the bumper up to the grill a couple times. Got air of some dunes pushed the mid travel pretty hard.

Nice build! Thank you for detailing the 4x4 conversion. I would like to convert mine sometime in the future.

i've been doing some research on the 4wd conversion, is it possible to keep the single stick on the transfer case (j stick pattern) instead going to twin sticks since i don't need 2lo? or is twin sticks to save space? thanks man

You can easily keep the single stick configuration. The twin takes up more room.

edit: just saw on rock solid toys you were running the j stick shifter. (vancity was)
