Yes, the dash cluster always has little specs on it. I've been careful wiping it down, but it's all scratched up. The interior looks nice, but the black material they used gets scuffed to easy and it won't clean up. Who ever came up with the materials for the interior is an idiot and should be fired. The reason the seat's wearing out is because the steering wheel forces you to drag across the seat instead of just sitting down. How do these things get past quality control ? Has Toyota become Chevy of the 70's ? Dan

2019 Tacoma here...i totally agree Dan. I’m very small, 155lbs, and still can barely squeeze under the steering wheel onto the seat. I just sold my Gen 1 and don’t recall ever fighting to get in or out of the truck.

I seem to be getting use to it and have grown to like it. It's not a small truck on the outside and I'm getting 25mpg in the summer, highway. The easiest truck to get in is the Honda, just open the door and sit, it's so roomy, but the Taco looks badass.

It’s a scientifically proven fact that people put on 15 pounds when they go from a 1st gen to a 3rd gen.

    3rd gen has Toyota's all-new fatty-resistant cabin design.
