Spent Saturday mounting the @SouthernStyleOffRoad bumper. Came out pretty good not having not done anything on this level before. I unfortunately still don’t have the baja led and I have no ETA on it so I went ahead and got this on so I can have the winch. I’m going to have to take it 100% part to get the light in down the road but whatever. I also spent some time and tried to cut and bend the fender liners vs just cutting them straight and leaving the corner open.

Thanks guys I can't even describe how happy I am with it. Totally worth the wait. I actually cut the driver's side fender flare about 1/8" too high. Passenger is perfect though. One thing I have to say is that your videos on YT are great (especially the most recent) but I didn't anticipate cutting the center bracket for the winch top and I couldn't relocate it. It wasn't a big deal but it threw me off once we got it up. My Baja led isn't going to be here for a while and I'm sweating the fit with the winch. It's made for it though so I trust it'll work but it's so tight in there!

Hey, if you have any questions about getting it all fitted once your light comes in, email mechanic@southernstyleoffroad.com. He should have some tips that may help!

Adventure #001 is in the books! Just like everyone else in Virginia, I headed up to George Washington National Forest this weekend to get lost in the woods with friends. We had an amazing adventure sneaking in on Friday to beat the crowds. We rode trails for 3hrs in the woods before setting up camp. Amazing experience and I can't wait for the next trip.

It feels like I get 1,000 inquiries about the bumper every day. Your bumper makes the entire thing!
When we doing a rear prototype???? :transformer:

Made some progress on the Switch Pros today. Now I just need some BD lighting to hook up. Should only be a few weeks now!

Finished up the Switch Pros install and got my first component wired up. I got the scene light pack from Sherpa and it worked flawlessly. I don't like the zip ties so I'm going to get something else to mount behind the sidewall of the rack and clean that up in the near future.

AND I have been stalking Step 22 all freaking day on the news of a restock and just snagged a limited run Pangolin Tool Roll in Multicam w00t.

Yesterday I learned about "galling" and stainless steel. I made my first rookie mistake. I received my recovery boards and mount brackets/pins this week. I got to the 4th pin and it suddenly seized on me. After assuming I cross-threaded the nut, I realized it wasn't at all so I was super confused. I tried to back it out with no luck and eventually rounded the plastic on the top portion. No amount of force will free it. Should have used some sort of anti-seize or something on the threads. As GI Joe once said: "Knowing is half the battle".
