if you think vehicle parts are expensive, you should see how costly aircraft parts are!!! i changed a manifold not too long ago that was over 65k.

so do you guys get together and do trial runs and stuff? we try to do that up here but a lot of people work on the slope and are gone randomly, or travel out of state a lot. ill need some tips for the desert life and how to re-setup my truck for being there.

Ha! oh I know it, you think we don't hear enough about rocks and tools that damage these things !

Honestly im fairly new to this site, I just bought my Tacoma back in july, but there are plenty of areas to ride, even right behind the base is a huge spot for offroad enthusiast, trucks, quads, you name it.

Lots of dirt, you will only see snow if you head up towards the mountain area, which is about 20 mins from North Las Vegas Area

I have a pair of Ford Raptor replica steps that I attempt to retrofit them onto my DCSB.

They WILL make their way onto my truck at some point... just not right now :-/

The Raptor ones looked sick on there. Plus I liked how far they stuck out for door ding protection. Lol.
I wish my sliders stuck out as far as those do.

Well I wasn't here the last time it snowed in the valley, but it's pretty cool to see snow on all the mountains around the valley. Even surprised to see it on Sunrise Mtn.

Driving home from work this morning I saw that snow on Sunrise and Frenchman, had to do a double take. Muddy Mountains were absolutely white, couldn't believe it.

No lie being at the base and seeing the snow around the surrounding mountains for first time in 3 years was pretty shocking, if only I could get to it..

Went snowshoeing after work yesterday. I was the first one up to the North Loop Trailhead after the snow so I got to break fresh snow all day. Anyone else interested in another trip?

Thanks, it was really pretty up there. Cold though, so I didn't want to take my gloves off to take very many pictures.

Whatever that white liquid they spray on the road to prevent icing is. High up on Lee Canyon and the entire stretch of Deer Creek were covered in it. Don't recall in Kyle Canyon.

Quick google search suggests it's probably liquid calcium chloride.

Don't know anything about suppressors unfortunately...still working on the collection.

Also need to do the same on my AR with the iron sights since I went ugly early and got a cheap red dot sight right away. Trying to get a marine buddy of mine to assist and hopefully let me shoot his .308.

I'm at the range every week down at the shotgun range coaching kids how to shoot trap and skeet in the evenings. Ever try that?

Doesn't ring a bell. I've only been doing it for about a month though so still trying to put names with faces.
