    Henderson is awesome!! Far enough from all the action to not be bothered with it, but close enough to join it when you want.
    There are some nice outdoor activites in Vegas...Lake Mead down in Boulder City, just 10 minutes from Henderson..and there are trails and places to offroad on the outskirts of Vegas, all about 30mins or so out of town. Lake, Mountains, Sand Dunes, Desert, Dry Lake Beds...

    You should check out summerlin as well it's a nice area as well or the northwest side.

    thanks! I have had a few people tell me that the henderson and summerlin areas are nice. i guess my only concern is to stay away from the "not so good" parts of town. lol I should be flying down just after the 4th of july to find a place. cant come fast enough as far as I am concerned! :)

    NW and SW areas, Henderson/Green Valley areas are good choices...stay out of North Las Vegas, the NE area and downtown/center of town and you will be fine. You will know the not so good neighborhoods just by looking ;) lol.

    Zac and I went Wheelin' today. Drove through Red Rock to Blue Diamond. Went over the hump to Pahrump and hit up Carpenter's Canyon. After we went further into Pahrump and jumped on the trail to Wheeler's Pass. Went up and over into Cold Creek and home. Gone almost 6 Hours. And the only video I took.
