I'm going to have same extra 1/8" 6061 aluminum soon. I'm planning on cutting out a few replacement tailgate panels for 2nd gens. These help support your tailgate better to keep them from bending as well as make it easier on your knees when you crawl in and out. Let me know if anyone is interested. Pricing and pictures should be available next week.

what are your favorite restaurants along the strip or a short uber ride from the strip? Wife and I will be staying down there for a few days in May in the vicinity of the bellagio. Haven't been to Vegas since 2011 so it seems like a lot has changed. We are not sushi eaters, wife does enjoy fish, and if there is a steak, burger or chicken on the menu I am generally happy.

also looking for recommendations on comedy shows (not the big name $$$$ tickets, something more local). we've seen a few big name acts over the years (people that were on TV) and weren't really impressed as most of the material was from their respective shows on TV.

feel free to PM me instead of posting a response here, don't want to clutter up your local thread too much ;)

    Hey ladies/gents!

I’m taking a trip out to Henderson early next week and figured I’d reach out and see the NV activity on TW. I’ll be in the area for a few days and would prefer to camp as opposed to get a hotel if there are any good areas? Maybe any decent trails that I can do with a loaded rig? Let me know what you think! If you all are active and do any meet ups it’d be great to meet some new TW peeps.

@desertjunkie760 This is a sweet lookout. If I remember right, you could do it in 2wd. Mostly powerline roads out there. Great for high speed running. Can hit about 70mph on some spots.

Access to the trails are around here. Been a while so I don't remember exactly. That opens you up to the entire east side if you wanna explore more.

Thanks! That seems about perfect for the area I’ll be in during the day. What can you tell me about camping in the area? I’m from SoCal so I’m sure they’re are lots of differences.

Just like camping anywhere else. Fire pit your fire, pack out what you pack in. If you are looking for trees, small shrubs are the desert's trees. Obviously the further away, the better. On the west side of the mountains, you will be visible from the freeway.

Can get windy, so prepare for that.

What dates will you be out here? Might be free to head out one evening. There are some cool spots with overlooks of the city, but as 5678ta said, I wouldnt camp in a visible spot of the freeway.

I’ll officially be out there the 12th and leaving the 14th but I’m planning on leaving SD early Sunday so I’ll need a place to park Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night.

I went to Team Acme. I think it was $125 or $150 for the 4 side windows.

    Stock. For now.
but they aren't an open group that anyone can join. And they dont go on rides that are open to anyone very often. Very different than a facebook group anyone can jump into and everyone can be invited to rides.

@desertjunkie760 @5678ta @virvak2 I live in Boulder City and after leaving Lowes on Racetrack I decided to give Henderson to BC a shot. I'm in a PreRunner, no suspension upgrades. Did mostly 25-35, except for a few spots where I had to slow down, but it wasn't too bad as long as I kept up my momentum uphill in some of the really lose deep gravel sections. The only place I had to stop was on the fire road to BC from the main power line road. There's a chunked out section of bedrock that I had to get out and move some rocks to create a slight ramp, probably no big deal with a 4WD but my PreRunner made it a little sketchy. So I mapped it out like this, entered the dirt at the red arrow on the left and followed the dotted roads. Orange dots are just normal dirt driving, blue dot with the yellow inset is the bedrock section I was talking about. Purple dotted section is where all the mountain bikers are, so even though it's a smoother packed dirt road, you have to be careful for people riding through there. The red pin on the upper right is 5678ta's original overlook spot pin.

Maybe 20-30 minutes? I wasn't paying attention and stopped a couple times to look around.

Any good camping areas around Primm? I’m about an hour out but I really don’t need to be in Henderson until tomorrow morning So I could park it whenever.

@5678ta @virvak2 Just an update that I made it and I’m in the valley. I didn’t go to the top of the mountain as I got in pretty late and have to be up early anyway. I’ll probably check it out tomorrow afternoon.

It’s a little cold but the wind is the killer. I found a decent little spot that had a hillside for some coverage but it not perfect.

Ya been pretty windy the past few days. That offshoot to the lookout gets steep and loose the last bit, may be difficult in a pre runner.. But lots of trails to have fun on throughout the river mountains
