I just watched an install video, and yikes.. I don't think that's a project I'll be able to take on anytime soon. I might just wait until I swap out the bumper all together. GLWS!

    FOA
Hey Vegas people, I love to visit this area of the US but I'm not in your area right now.

Does anyone have any info or friends that know anything about FOA?

I'm not trying to bad mouth anyone at all. I know supply systems are f..ked right now.

I knowSEMA just happened and FOA was probably involved but they have had my girlfriends coilover shocks since the beginning of August and the past two months I call every week to check on the rebuild process. I was told that they could rebuild them in a week or so. I even sent the gaskets and seals needed (purchased from them)

Every Monday I call and they have said "the rebuild should be done on Wednesday, expect a call on Thursday" and that has happened for awhile now.

Anyone have any friends or info from this company? The trails close to us close over winter and we just want to get this rebuilt and back before that happens.

Im Located in NC. FOA has always answered my calls but unfortunately since they tell me the same thing evertime I just don't believe them. That's why I'm worried because I'm definitely being fed something.

    Any info is appreciated

Tell em to keep em and order something better. If your just replacing the seals with their seals, they’ll leak again in no time. They’re still around but after multiple failed shocks over the years and lack of quality control, I’m surprised.

better off just asking for the shocks back, returning the seals and buying the stuff to convert it to fox seals so they last

Well, these shocks aren't recently purchased or even 5 years young Theses 16" shocks are probably, I have no clue... maybe, at least 10 years used . I have no skin in this game since they aren't mine and they aren't going on my vehicle. What I do know is that the girlfriend hasn't had any complaints about the FOA's

But you're right, she just wants them back in working order so I can slap them in and she can finally get back on the trails.

Also one of the shafts needed replacing and they had to wait for material to machine a new one. But they received the material weeks ago apparently.

This vehicle is no mall crawler, when she uses it she uses it. The shocks held up until earlier this year

Unfortunately for now it's sitting on blocks and wood but thanks for the heads-up in the future

I had a set of 8x2.5s rebuilt about a month and a half ago, took less than a week for it to be done.
My dad had 4 16s rebuilt a couple months ago in less than a week.
Also neither shock ever leaked, mine were free to me and i figured why not have them rebuilt before i throw them in.
My dads tire caught his resevoir hose one day and ripped it apart, so he got them all redone as they were a couple years old at that point.

Personally if it were me than I’d seriously cancel my order with them as obviously they’re morons and go somewhere else online to purchase what you are looking for because it looks like they’re just wasting your time. But that’s just my .02 cent opinion which will buy you… well…. Nothing come to think of it? Good luck my friend

Hi, I'm looking for a First gen Tacoma (or 3rd gen 'runner) ADD CV axle input shaft. Long story but I'm looking for the OEM style triangular joint housing (shaft on the right) with the longer ADD splines (shaft on the left). Have an old axle laying around that you want to get rid of? Trying to get a project back together in the next few days. Thanks!

Cross post from the KDMax Tune thread....but pertinent to this discussion.

I've got a 2018 TRD OR DCLB. It's an automatic. Over time (I bought it new), I've been increasingly disenchanted with performance - especially hauling a full load of gear at altitude (>8000 ft). After months of research and fence-sitting, I reached out to @PapaRee who wrote me back immediately to remind me (in a kind way!!) of the first page of this thread so I could connect with a local tuner @Madmax702.

Max is awesome! We connected via text last Friday and I got the tune done last Sunday. Max is amazing. Max was on time, clear in communications but not condescending in the least, and really helped me to understand what to expect and what he was doing to the truck. He updated the truck with the lastest TSB as well as the tune. I selected the mid-range or "normal" throttle setting. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot I could tell a significant difference. Then I hit the freeway - per Max's suggestion I got the RPMs up... wow. I thought I was operating a Tacoma shaped F16!!!! So much fun. It's not my daily driver, but driving it again today... Oh boy. I might get a speeding ticket! I can't wait to load it for bear and head up high, and also to run more miles on it and watch for the continued performance/MPG changes.

In addition to the great performance upgrade, smooth shifting and NO gear hunting...this was just such a great experience. I truly appreciate Max's time and professionalism. I feel confident that if I have any kind of issue, he's got my back. If anyone here is thinking about the tune, I can't recommend Max well enough. Super chill dude.

I concur. Max performed my tune as well. Definitely a great guy who provides a great service.
