    Hey Vegas!

I'm going to be out there to visit my dad next week. I moved away from there 22 years ago. So... It's been a while. I've been out to visit but I usually fly. I'm driving this time and I will have my truck.

There used to be a trail that we used to explore up near Red Rock canyon. Just head out W. Charleston and it was fairly easy to find, before the visitor center. I'm betting the trail now has houses built up over it. Would y'all know if is there anymore?

Otherwise, what trails do you guys explore? My dad is up near Cheyenne and 95 and my best friend from high school lives over near Nellis. Those are probably good starting points for places that are near by and we can explore.

Yeah. Those will help. OnX wasn't giving me very good information. But then again, I have the "trial" version. I'll check it out.

13mile loop doesnt go back towards vegas. It loops around logandale trails.
There is another trail that go back towards moapa towards a set a trails over there.
If you go on the VTO facebook page, theres a tab for Files, all the local vegas trails are there.

I put in a join request on VTO. I'm only going to be here until Sunday. Then I drive back home.

I think we are going to go to Bird Spring Pass. It looks easy. I can do rougher stuff. I just don't want to freak out my wife and dad. Dad is getting up there in age. Besides, Bird Spring Pass looks like it will give my family a good view of the Las Vegas Valley. We will head over there this afternoon.

My bad on the wrong info...I haven't done much in Logandale. Only Went once with Joe.

It is pretty easy but a nice ride. This was the first trail I went on when I moved to Vegas.

Hey all - just curious if anyone is running into this or has run into it - I ordered UCA, shocks and AAL from Rogue OffRoad. I put in the order on Thursday night 5/12 online after talking with them in person in the shop the week before. In person, in the shop -I was told that the parts would be in "in a couple of days" and then we could schedule install. My work schedule started to get a bit nutty so I called to make sure they were ok if the install was delayed from the week of 5/16 to this week of 5/23. No response to voicemail, so I emailed. I was told that the parts were fast to arrive but then had to be moved from the warehouse. Ok, fine - I'm busy but that was a little different than what I was told. I was told in that email they would call in a couple of days to schedule this week and that the turnaround was pretty quick. No call. No response to my email yesterday following up. No one picks up when I call. It was a fair chunk of change to be a short-term loan to a place that seems to do a lot of business...I am feeling a bit frustrated. I get that it's the week before a holiday, and understand all too well about supply issues and logistics - but this is absolutely not what I expected or was led to believe. If I need to just be patient, that's fine - but it just seems odd. I'm not trying to trash them just trying to understand what I should expect. Anyone else run into this with them?

All my business with them was in person without any problems. You might have to show up in person .

Thank you @HelloFelix - It's over an hour drive each way for me but I'll try that next week. It was a great conversation when I was there in person, so I've been surprised.

The only time I gave them business was in person. Other times I didn’t receive a response. Luckily I’m not as far away as you are. Is there a specific reason you went with them being that far? I know there are quite a bit of other shops around town.

There's really not much closer to me - I shopped around, and the pricing for my options seemed pretty similar. I called several places and Rogue was the most knowledgeable or willing to talk on the phone, so I went by and had a great chat with them in person - they were very willing to spend time with me and I felt like I'd have good customer experience there; it's not like I'm buying a cheeseburger or something, yah know? :) So, I'm a bit perplexed by the current status of things. Lovely truck you have there, BTW!

I had a similar experience, talked alot over phone and facebook, but when it came down to scheduling the work go get done, they wouldnt answer. I ended up going to a different shop. It sucked because i almost missed a big trip i was planning because i got dicked around for a few days with them.

I’m assuming this means you’re north of town? Since almost all the other shops I know about are further south. I’ve heard rumor that Wreckdit fab and Custom Motorsports are moving North. Not helpful now but as a FYI for future reference. Also thank you! Im working towards making it primarily a trail truck now.

Honestly feel that’s the case with many shops here. Guess they just have enough people throwing money at them that one loss doesn’t bother them much.

Update for anyone interested - I finally talked to someone at Rogue today - the parts came in last week and I have an appointment scheduled next week. This is great progress, and hopefully the install will go smoothly (I've been accused (with some truth) of loving the Tacoma more than my husband ...so I'm nervous about the install, plus am all about expectation management when dealing with stuff like this). Thanks for the support and the info @HIYota @CGoss!!!!

Congrats on finally getting it scheduled. Should be fine. I’ve installed most of your typical lifts on Tacomas in a garage with hand tools. On old and rusted to new and shiny. If a guy with mechanical skills learned off YouTube can do it a off-road shop damn sure can.
