Just FYI most firestones will not do anything custom. So if the wheels are forward at all they will put it back to the stock setup. I had my wheels forward a little so i didn't have to cut so much and they pushed them back to match factory specs.

I like Precision Tint, but yeah, I think my taco was just under $700 to do it. It makes a huge difference though and in my opinion worth it in this heat. Are you looking at doing your windshield as well?

No matter where you go its a lot, unless you work at a place. I had my RX done. I also did all my glass on my Corolla and Tacoma meaning the front windshields on those to. They did it my job, but i quit and went to another dealer. We don't even offer it here. I payed $200 for the RX and like $280 each employee cost for the Corolla and Tacoma because of the front windshields.

I was really surprised on the difference the tint made. They don't get AS bad as for the heat and it feels like it cools fast.

You know that's the crazy thing about the nano tint, its not that bad. I have always had my windshields tinted on all my cars or trucks. Its darker looking in then out. My corolla and rx is 20% and the windsheild on the corolla is 20%. The tacoma is 5 in the back 2 doors and rear window. The front 2 and windshield are 20%.

YES it is dark. Its tint at the end of the day, you have shit headlights, then you may have a problem. You running LEDs or projectors then you should be fine. Depending on you eyesight. Best thing is to meet up with someone with the tint and see for yourself. Look at night.

Just so you can see how it looks in the day time. I don’t have anything showing at night.

I currently have 70% on my front as well, it's way better than the no tint my wife has on her 4Runner. My cousin had stupid dark tint on his and I have no clue how he could see shit at night.

I haven't looked into skids for awhile. Have companies started build Cat protection into them? When I bought mine it was just for the low points of the truck.

Guys and Gals, help a SoCal brother out. My parents live in Vegas (Henderson, actually), and drive totally stock Tacomas and a Camry. I'm just looking for referrals for solid independent mechanics for general repairs and maintenance them to take their cars to. Their current place just quoted them $1700 for front and rear brake job. Any help or leads are appreciated.

So I only have experience with one mechanic shop in town since I've been here almost two years and that is Trusted Imports (https://www.trustedimportslv.com/). They replaced my clutch and fixed a few other small things since they already had the truck. Pricing was good, was able to get into the shop fairly quickly and they did a great job.

Trusted Imports is a great shop. Andrew the owner was a master tech at Toyota before opening his shop. Great guy. Tell him john from Lexus sent you. We use to work together at Toyota. He will take good care of you.

Yea I assume it a "cover your ass" thing in case someone does get though to the Cats. In the end all these covers are just deterrents because if thieves want in they'll get in.

Someone just hit me. Bashed in front left, nothing serious but needs to be fixed for sure. Anybody have any body shop recommendations that do top quality work?

I have my wife's car is at Service King on Azure. (Centennial) If the repair is anything like the process, then I am scared. Place sucks. Hopefully the repair is done right.
