Naw, the hybrid Tundra doesn’t really have the real estate to house it quite yet. Also don’t really plan on wheeling this truck as it will be primarily a family vehicle.

    Hello everyone.

I’m on a bit of a road trip and will be passing through LV again and will be looking for a place to stop with our 25ft TT about 50(ish) miles south of LV on 93.

If anyone knows of a good place to pull off the Hwy and get a quiet nights kip I’d appreciate any info…

    Cheers

That will put you about halfway between Boulder City and Kingman. There’s been quite the buildup of gas stations/truck stops along the route, but there’s still a good amount that’s open, although I believe most of it is private land.

Thanks buddy. I did see the newer gas stations along that way but didn’t see much of blm/open land.
Seems as though just past the dam there’s an open space area, Kingman wash? Was hoping to get a bit further south but that could do…

Kingman Wash is still in the Lake Mead NRA, so it’s on the hilly side. I haven’t done much exploring on that side of the river. There is an open camping area on the top of Coyote Pass just before you drop into Kingman, so if you want to roll farther south, that’s an option too.

If you’re open going more west (towards Needles, CA), most of the land along 95 is open BLM land, including the newest national monument.

Cheers! I’ll look into the recommendations.
We’ll be travelling from Bend, OR to Phoenix so kinda just on a mission for quick and easy. We may just stop at one of the RV campgrounds in Boulder City.

Yeah I’m not fully looking forward to the summer in Phoenix…

Do you know if the dam access road goes all the way through to Kingman wash or do they still have it closed off due to “security”?

It’s no longer closed off due to security, but rather because the bridge opened several years ago and the new I-11 bypass connected to it.

Phoenix in summer in an RV is tough, did that for 5 weeks back in 2010. Best we got was about 10 degrees below ambient.

    But it is still closed?

Thankfully the rv is going to be up in storage in Flagstaff as a getaway and we’re going to be in a house in Goodyear.

We have just spent the winter in Bend, OR in the rv, temps down below zero. It’s far easier to warm a rv than it is to cool. A dam lot quieter than trying to cool it too as the ac is crazy noisy!

Anyone know a solid dent company that isn't asking $300? Seems like all these companies in the valley are using the same pricing but providing different quality of work. Pricing is out of control over here.

Anyone else concerned that the valley is going to turn into Californistan?

I'm wondering what the valley is going to look like in five years. The acquisition of a MLB team and the continuous talks of bring the NBA here is concerning and exciting at the same time lol. The resources are limited and the personnel that is attached to these organizations are discerning. Remember the randos that relocated to the valley with aspirations of working for the Raiders?

I don't but I've only been here for a couple years due to the military. Plan on staying around after I retire in a couple years though so hoping things don't turn to shit.
