Plenty of good responses here, but seeing as I am a Vegas regular, I will chime in. As far as gambling goes, the more expensive the Hotel, the more expensive the tables are. I like to play smaller denomination tables, so i hit older casinos like Tropicana, Bill's, Casino Royale, Harrah's, Flamingo. The good thing about those places is they also keep the drinks flowing pretty freely. If you're looking for a buffet, Rio has one of the better ones and it's reasonably priced. Also, I don't know how much clubbing you want to do with the wife, but the Rio has a lounge/club type place on the roof called Voodoo, it has an awesome view of the Vegas strip. If you go to Rio anytime during the day, people will be passing out free voodoo tickets.
4 days is a lot in Vegas, so you'll have plenty of time to just check out the different casinos, which are pretty cool. Vegas pools are awesome to check out, if only for the tons of eye candy, but most don't allow access unless you're a guest there. I hear all the cirque de soleil shows are awesome, same with blue man group and pen and teller, but I have never been. I've seen the fountain 10 times or so and it's still badass.
Lastly, you gotta check out old/ downtown Vegas, definitely more grimey and ghetto, but they have cheap food, drinks, gambling, etc. Good luck.

I've been three times. All on a company dime, so I took full advantage of that. :D

One of my favorite places to hang out was the Mirage. Theres a great place called Rhumbar. Great drinks, fun during the day or at night watching the volcano show.

If you have the cash to drop (or if you can find a deal) HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Beatles: LOVE. Phenomenal show, and in my opinion the best Cirque show in vegas.

Definitely spend some time walking the strip at night and during the day. You can find some great deals, and its a blast people watching.

I'll second going to Fremont Street. Nothing beats Old School Vegas.

Most importantly, know when to leave a table. Being in Vegas you'll see a lot of people blow all kinds of money, and keep wishing Lady Luck will come by and save them. I like to set a price, like $200 for the whole trip. When that's gone, I don't gamble any more. If I come out ahead, great. If not, I got a few hours of entertainment.

One of the times I went I rented a Ferrari 355 and drove out to Buffalo Bills and Red Rock Canyon. Absolute blast of a drive, and gorgeous scenery.

If your girl likes shopping, take her to the Forum Shops at Cesar's or the Mall right across from the Wynn (Check out that hotel. Absolutely gorgeous). I've gotten lost in the Forum Shops. Def an easy way to spend a lot of money and time.

Have fun and be safe! Come back with stories!!!

Sorry I didn't feel like reading all the posts. Check out Station Casinos. They are all off strip bit rather short drive from. They are more of a locals hotel and reasonably priced! Good luck. Have fun!

I forgot to mention the pool at the Golden Nugget. It a circle around a big shark tank, including a water slide that goes through the tank. It's definitely worth seeing. They also have some blackjack tables poolside.

Lot's of great advice on here depending on your budget. Forum shops are nice but 5-750 for your trip budget can be dropped on a shirt and a pair of sunglasses in that place.

On the strip there are a few places that always have cheap tables. I think the riv is cheap, and I know casino royal is very cheap. They have a big area in the back where you can rent beer pong tables and stuff. Definitely take some time walking around, seeing the inside of the new big strip casinos, well worth it. I didn't go to cosmo or aria last time I was out there, or any of the new center strip for that matter and I regret not walking through.

I will be there on Saturday (4th) through Tuesday (7th). This is my second time there and i say if you haven't never been, you will for sure enjoy yourself. We watched a acrobat show at the MGM Garand the first time we were there and it was insane. We are staying at the Circus Circus this time on the North end of Vegas this time. All and all i thought Vegas was awesome.. Basically anything you want to do you can do there. Amusement parks, golf, exotic cars, pools, gambel, you name it..

Have a blast and maybe i'll see ya there! lol

BIG BUMP i'm going in August. Choice of these hotels: Luxor, Golden Nugget, Flamingo, Excalibur, Rio, Circus Circus or Harrahs.

Has anyone stayed at these places? Clean? Good Service? Would you stay again?

Honestly, I wouldn't stay at Excalibur or Luxor. They didn't seem that nice and they're at the southern part of the strip.

Personally, I'd stay at the Flamingo or Harrah's. They were both pretty nice, and they're central strip. There's a lot of walking to be done, so I'd stick with central. I'm glad we changed to Bally's from NY/NY, solely for the fact that it was central and everything is happening there.

If I go back, it will be central.

Well, you gotta tell us how it was man.
And He's pretty much spot on about where to stay, I have stayed at all of those, Flamingo would be my choice. The golden nugget is supposed to be all redone and bitchin, but it's off the strip, in Downtown.

Rio is all suites, and the rooms are huge, but you'd have to taxi to the strip, its about 2 miles I think.

I've stayed at the Luxor twice now. It is not too bad, had no problem the two times I was there, and would stay again. It is on the south end of thing, so you may walk a little more than if you stayed at say The Bellagio, but its not so bad. When I go to Vegas I am not in my room much so I don't mind staying at less fancy places.
All in all I have stayed at: MGM, loved it; NYNY, was great except I was awoken to sirens and guards telling us to get out of our room as a room down the hall caught fire. I was given a free future stay in their Spa Suite as a result so no complaints!; Luxor, no complaints; Stratosphere, way north on the strip, not even walking distance. Very cheap though, doubt I would stay again unless I was trying to really save some money.; Excalibur, I made a promise to myself to never stay there again, unless I was given the rooms for free. And a few others, but of them all my favorite was MGM.

I stayed at the Circus Circus. The rooms where nice and that's about it. We just slept there and had breakfast at the McDonald's. Their buffet was horrible and that's because we had free meal coupons. If all your looking for is a nice room to sleep at a dirt cheap price then Circus Circus is a great place to stay.
