So you got arrested for having an unloaded gun in your trunk? Just having an unloaded gun in your trunk isnt cause for arrest, unless it is an illegal gun.

If you have nothing to hide, they have no reason to search you.
NEVER consent to a search. Make the police get a warrant.

eh i doubt it just like refusing to consent to a voluntary search without any other PC isnt PC in and of itself

The Titan Gun safe looks like a great product, but the guy wants $299 for it! I would not buy it at that price, no friggin way.

As far as the police search debate, yes the stickers / magnets are a good idea for the reasons already stated.

The Calguns Foundation mass produced some stickers if your in CA and are interested.

And also it's great advice to never speak to the police. I just hand them a letter from my attorney telling them to direct all questions to him instead.

Here is the magnet I spoke of:

This is pretty entertaining. I could care less about a sticker. If I have what I need for PC then I'm searching. And BTW, when people are adamant about me not searching the inside of their car then they are just more suspicious and I look harder. And regarding NOT talking to us...I agree...When you talk I just have to write more after arresting you. Oh and good luck with getting the department to pay for damage.

My bottom line: Don't draw attention to yourself and you probably won't be stopped in the first place.

correct me if I'm wrong but probable cause can be, "you smell funny". Even if you don't...got shook one or two times like that

I talk to cops every time I get pulled, "yes sir, no sir" all kinds of sir :D most times with any person it's reciprocated....be as real as it gets and it usually works out. Give some lip...and you'll be a min....grab a snickers.

actually iirc the OP was arrested and thrown in jail, illegally, for a few days. Then all the cops said was "oops".

i wasn't trying to draw attention to myself. i was passing by a car meet, my friend and i had the most stock looking car there, everyone else was turbo, extremely lowered, had nice rims, modified engines and exhaust, etc.... i was just in line on the street to get into the parking lot. so i know i wasn't doing anything wrong. my friend and i was there to go to the cafe in that same parking lot. we had no idea there was a car meet going on there.
