my vent mode selector isn’t currently working. You can turn the switch all day long and nothing happens. Seems to be stuck on face vents only which I believe is the first setting without staring at it. Barely anything comes out at the feet and nothing from the defrosters (which is the big problem) I’ve tried googling the issue but seem to only get a lot of stuff for second gens. Anybody got any ideas? Anyway to isolate the controller from the servo to see which might be causing the problem? Can I adjust it manually for the time being? Where is the servo actually located? Any input would be appreciated.

Cable is likely dislodged, you'll need to get under the dash with a flash light and move the dials, watching for cable movement. The HVAC levers control rotating vents all behind and under the radio.

So are you saying that there is a cable connecting the servo to the actual piece that is doing the routing of the air flow? Should I be able to hear the servo move?
