tough to know where to put this.

my 2011 had weatherguards and they were fine.

I like the look of the AVS units.

I have been cautioned about window binding & compromising the window motor/ mechanism.

anyone have a favorite "my ride looks bitchin'" brand of vent visor which won't add complications to my life?

    thanks

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I have used EGR in channel for years and like them a lot. They can be had for fairly cheap on Amazon also.

I have used AVS for years. No issues at all. In channel for my 2004 Dakota. Never any problems with raising or lowering any of the Quad Cab windows. Did have 1 crack and was replaced without issue under the lifetime warranty....Made the decision real easy when I got my Tacoma.

I never had a problem with any brands. In channel and taped to outside. I like to clean the area with rubbing alcohol and a cloth, let dry (takes like 3 minutes) and then install. Remember even the in channel has some type of tape on it that should be used.

my savanna van spit vent visors every 6 months. weathertechs, which last 5 years on my Tacoma, would not stay in the van. of course they're only sold in pairs, so when one dropped out, I was on the hook for another 90$ pair. after three pair, I gave up and traded the van. fixed it!

I had stick ons on my Dakota. I got the in channel for the Rav4 because that was all that was available at the time, and once I saw how much better those looked and fit, I knew it was going to be in channel for the Taco too. If you install them when it will be warm for a couple of days and leave the window up for at least 24 hours after the install, the gaskets form where they need to and will not bind anything up. I have no issues at all on the Rav4 and the Tacoma, both have AVS in channel visors.

I have the AVS in channel, no issues with the windows.

You do have to leave the windows shut for a couple days so the adhesive strip sticks properly.

They work well and I like the way the AVS visors look on the truck.

I used AVS, in-channel vent shades on my old truck when we lived in Tennessee. They worked great and kept the cab cooler and the rain out (with the windows down a few inches) Never had a problem with them and they were cheap from Amazon. Just make sure to get the ‘in channel’ version and not the ones that stick on the outside of the doors.

AVS in channel for me. I tried the AVS stick on and the shape of it doesn't follow the contour of the door. It looks kinda wonky. The in channel looks so much cleaner. Be sure you don't roll your windows down for a couple of days. If you do, you gotta push the visor out a bit, or you'll crush it rolling the window up.
