First...let me say thank you to Jon at DSMS who has graciously offered to rebuild my sway-a-ways

    now then

i HATE working on my truck by myself...things go so much easier when youve got a buddy to help curse at the truck

i just spent the past hour swapping out 1 side of the front suspension...and now its dip/water/break time

normally id be so super stoked about riding around on shitty rancho shocks /sarcasm but in the name of having rebuilt saws...i'll gladly do it

turns out...my previous spacer lift was actually TALLER than what ive got the saws set at now

that would be awesome...but my dog would drink it before it got to me...so shes locked in the kennel so she stays out from under the truck while its on jackstands

Tigerfan, I bet that feels like a world of difference!

I just cant wait until I get the stock coil-overs(w/ spacer lift) out from under my truck and put some 2.5s in that puppy. Though I am having trouble deciding on which brand to go with... Kind of leaning towards the King 2.5 non-reservoirs, or Icons.

im so sexy...how one gets this dirty changing coilovers is beyond me...

    but i manage...

good news is theyre both swapped and the SAWs are boxed and ready to go to DSMS in the morning

note that it took me around 45 minutes to get a cup of water...talk to the new girl on the phone...swap the drivers side coil out...box up the saws...and put away all my tools...

make sure you put the right coil on the right side to start with

i was in somewhat of a hurry because i didnt want to be out there...

first i put the drivers side on the passenger side...obviously didnt line up...then when i put the pass one in...i put it in backwards...sooo...still didnt line up...finally got it right 3rd try...and drivers side went it with no issues

i had also forgotten its good to line up and hand tighten the bolts at the top of the shock bucket FIRST before putting in the bottom bolt thru the shock eye...

oh well...theyre both swapped and i get a shitty ride until i get my SAWs back

oh and i noticed that both rancho shocks are leaking and the drivers side is a bit bent :mad: yay!

x2 on that. looking into a Skyjacker kit (Pn: TC530STKS) it has 3" lift performance struts and new 2.5" lift rear soft ride springs. Hope this one works out!!!

Good luck with all the tooling tiger! They should be awesome when finished.
