18,000 miles don't sound like you got much use out of them.

Stop driving with one foot on the brake.

    [SOLVED]

That's why you were told "Stop that! Drive with one foot, ya little shit!" by your dad.

Geez, what kind of rotors are you buying? And why aren't they covered under warranty?

We all have the same rotors. A simple part by any measure. What, exactly, did you think everyone other owner was going to believe was FUBAR in this scenario?

71K on my original rotors. Just did my first set of pads at 68K, the rotors still looked new.

Had a driver's ed teacher that would make certain students untie their left shoe, then he would close the door over their laces.

But since we already had that one covered, let me go with the even more obvious - downshift when descending from the hills.

Replacement rotors can be had for $80 to $120 a set...if the pads are good you can reuse them. At $700 they saw you coming at 25 minutes work a wheel.

Everything else on the suspension/steering/wheels OEM?

    Why did Toyota deny warranty?

I buy my brakes through a company called MAXX. they are out of Toronto & USA ( I believe). Better & cheaper than OEM. I believe you can find them on Amazon or Ebay
