So, I got the Thunderbolt today. I am really blown away with how fast this phone is... I am going to monitor how the battery lasts. If it can get me through a day, I am sold on this phone. Coming from the Incredible which I thought was a very smooth fast running phone, this thing blows it out of the water. The screen is huge. At first, I didn't like it, but after a while, I wonder if I could go back to a smaller screen? I will update in a few days.

Skype is supposably coming soon to the Thunderbolt. There are demo's available at VZW stores. Folks on my android forum are saying that "Qik" or "Tango" work as video chat

    Task killer fixes that. ;)

Also, if you turn off auto sync for twitter, news, and stocks. It saves battery.

Task killer is kind of hit and miss with some 3rd party apps and tango being one of them

How the hell did you even get 6 hours? I played a few games, sent about 20 texts, and 4 or 5 phone calls, and the battery dies.

I would have gotten one of these had I not gotten a Droid X a few months ago. Would have liked to have waited but my Blackberry Tour took a shit.

Up time is at 12 1/2 hours
Use time is at 1 hour 28 minutes
    Phone is at 48%

I have not added any apps to try and increase battery life. I wonder why you are getting such terrible battery life?

    Liking the phone so far.

So, I ended up returning this phone before my 14 days were up... The battery life was killing me. 1400mAh for a 4.3inch screen and a LTE phone was just too underpowered IMO.

I came from an incredible, so I know android and I know how to make a battery last throughout the day...

The sad thing, I loved the phone. So fast. I found myself not using the phone to conserve battery life so it would last longer. I wouldn't be opposed to re-ordering it in the future if a decent longer life battery was available, but for now, I sent it back to keep my upgrade in-tact until I decide what to do.
