I get 8-12 hours out of my droidx. If you don't keep the screen lit when not in use you get more out of the battery.

I wear a hip clip. The big screen is great(thats what she said).

that was the first thing i had to adjust to with the orginal droid. i had to make sure the screen was always set to go off after a few seconds. otherwise it would come on in my pocket and it'd be dead by lunch.

I hated the auto dim setting. I like to manually control that, so I disabled it. It would dim at the wrong times, like when on the phone trying to click the number pad for menu driven companies.

Just one more thing...I love the Droid X, I thought it was going to be to big but after I got it and put it in my pocket, I realized it is very slim and comfortabe. The camera is awesome and the HD video is pretty good too. I took these at the midland auto show with the 8 mp camera from my phone.

Rooted droid x. I charge every two days. Bloat freezer keeps all unneccesary apps from running and battery life is great.

Yeah great camera in these phones. My signature pics were taken with my Droid X on a foggy & cloudy day. And those pics came out great.

I know this thread isn't on topic anymore, but I went into Verizon about a month ago and they said I wasn't ready for an upgrade until November. I got an email yyesterday saying I am eligible for an upgrade. Is it a scam or what?

downloading this now. curious to see how it works

so does anyone else have the incredible 2 yet? so far i am extremely impressed. the HTC sense UI is way way better than whatever Motorola uses on the droid. when i say way better, i mean not even in the same league. so far i've only noticed one drawback, and that is the speaker phone. it seems abnormally quiet. not sure if its a setting, or just a bad speakerphone. for me its not a deal breaker but if you need a loud speaker phone you may need to look at other phones.

no, you are eligable every so often. what they dont tell you is you have to pay a $20 early upgrade fee (what a surprise, another random fee from a cell phone company) but you should be able to upgrade at the promotional price i think. you can always call customer service and find out

I went down today and got the thunderbolt. The guy hooked me up, or at least he said he did. Knocked an extra $50 off and gave me some free accessories so it wasnt too bad. I did have to pay tax on the full price phone, which made up for the $50 he took off haha.
