verizon smartphones

That's what I been hearing about it. Ill prolly get one when my contract ends on this phone. Hard telling what kinda phone will he out by then.

 

wait till mid july and check out the droid x. looks pretty sweet for sure.

 

I cant speak for the other phones, but my GF has the Incredible. It really is an awesome phone. It makes my enV Touch look retarded.

She on average will drain her battery in a day, but she uses it a lot..mostly texting and internet browsing. Despite all that she has never had an issue with it running out mid-day. Just plug it in before you go to bed every night and you are set.

how do you guys get the most recent phones so quickly? do you pay full price for it at verizon? i think ive had my current phone (env touch) for about a year. i know i want this phone but i dont want to pay an arm and a leg for it.

 

i got the droid when i switched from Alltel to VZ. VZ has some deal where you can upgrade your phone every 2 months and get the introductory price, but when you do so you have to resign your contract for 2 years. so if you had 6 months on your contract left, you can get the new droid x for the introductory price (whatever it costs when you sign up for a 2 year plan) but you will now be starting a new 2 year plan. i cant remember wht that is called but i think i got all the details right. if not, someone please correct me.

 

Usually verizon allows you to do two upgrade options.. the 1 yr upgrade and the 2 yr uprade..

the 2 yr is every 20 months you get the reg upgrade price, the 1 yr is every 12 months and you get the phone idk maybe 200 off the retail price.. expensive but gets you the phone for cheaper..

And the moto x will have ninja blur which looks alot cleaner and better than the tmobile cliqs moto blur. Im not sure if the droid 2 will have this.. i would imagine it would though.

just dial 611 from your phone and there will be an option to see when your eligible for your upgrade or just go into any store.

My motorola droid hasnt fallen apart, its been really durable for me.

ok so i just went and messed with one. i want the incredible. they said the latest they would have it in would be july 20th

 

the only other thing that is holding me back a bit is that verizon will switch to 4G next year.

 

i have some kind of 2 month deal. they explained it at the store but i didn't pay attention. but when i log on, i can see a countdown letting me know when i'm eligible. then, if i dont get a new phone, it resets and counts down again. who else has this? is it maybe a regional thing?

 

i just read a article yesterday saying that its suppose to be coming out around june 26th b/c its suppose to able to compete with the iphone 4 and the 4g phone from sprint! so I would say sometime end of june beginning of july for the moto x!!! I am in same boat as u and wanting to get a smart phone and new to all this shit also. Also with verizon. So I have been doing a lot of research lately!

 

I have been wit verizon for a very long time and our 2 year deal thing is actual 2 years!! and You only get up to 100 dollars off stuff. But i have never had problem wit verizon!! love it! just trying to help with details!

 

anyone have any info on verizon 4G and if these phones will be behind with technology when its released?

 

go check out the EVO. its like the incredible, only bigger. and sprint has the 4g network up and running (in some cities, including mine)

too bad HTC can keep with the demand for either phone

 

There are currently no phones with the LTE technology. And I wouldnt expect to see it until late 2011 or even 2012

 

I have a Blackberry Tour myself and love it. I hate touchscreen phones which is why I didn't get a Droid or something similar. Perhaps they've come a long ways but the last couple touchscreen phones I had were a giant pain in the ass and it seemed like doing simple tasks were made that much more tedious.

 

well guys i ordered a HTC incredible. they say it should be here july 20th at the latest. i really hope it will get here sooner though.
