I believe in 2013 that’s when they decided to put a cover on the unit. So you should be fine but it wouldn’t hurt to take the cover off and inspect the inside of the pump unit itself.

    Hi Judy!
I would take the internal filter out and add the unifilter.
    Unless it is covered?
If it is then Toyota will replace a lot of the system.
Not sure if my 08 had isssues with this but I removed the internal filter and did the unifilter thing.
I added a water shield because it seemed pretty open in my 2.7 4 cylinder engine bay. Been like 3 years and all is still good?

4x4 Center replaced my ECGS bushing and a wheel bearing for me. Did a great job and the price was reasonable ($80/hour if IIRC). They work on Tacomas so often that they actually stock the ECGS bushing and the special tool.

I used Bailey Spring in Essex for my 5100/884s/AAL. Great job and less than I expected. They build leaf springs for big work trucks and have made custom packs for some members here.

    Both places do great work.

Ah perfect timing! I ended up doing my lift myself and I have the vibration at 20-25mph. Will give them a shout! Thanks!

Just had my needle bearing done on Monday.
I quietly complained to one of owners at the dealership that did my frame.
I know it’s not because of the swap but it got worse quick and I didn’t remember it before.
    They blamed the duratracs.
Put on my fancy winter wheels 3921F2B9-D0BB-4DE9-AD97-9E2B14CCDFC3.jpg and they ended up splitting cost.
Must be wheel offset same size tires but I had to double check size again they look narrow.
Running actual winter tires instead of at’s.
They put in the tsb needle bearing cost me 216$.
If it doesn’t last I’ll do the bushing that east coast gear has.
It looks pretty easy to do maybe?
It would had been like 160$ for the ecgs bushing and their removal/install tool.
Anyway vibes are gone and all the new parts underneath it’s like a 10yr 170k new truck.

A couple of firsts for me and I’ve been on the road for just under 40yrs.
    I had the frame replaced!
Had to have a windshield replaced and had a good size rock skip off my hood and put like 6 pits in it 2 weeks later.
I watched a Jeep go up in flames yesterday. I saw the smoke from the beer store. Moved so I could see what it was and in seconds it just started pretty surprised how bad it got and how fast it was.

    Sad day today.
Lost my dad today. He had always been my rock and my moms also.
He was an awesome dad and a great person.
I will miss him and I wish I had more time with him.
Unexpected but he went without having losing quality of life.
Did his normal thing until the end.
He was a fn awesome dad.
And I strive to follow him!
If I become half the man he was I will be happy.

    Edit removed foul language.
