Yes I bought the cap new at Add On before they went out of business. I also did a reworked leaf pack and a AAL so the rear wouldn't sag. The TRD Pro insert came from here so that meant a color matched grill too lol money just flies out of my purse lol. Running Wet Okoles from another GB here has saved my seats so a new one would need some upgrades just like you pointed out. Very happy with the ride now since my tires were still my Cooper Winters! ThNk you for your support and am stoked you were able to get your dream truck! Any mods planned?

Probably not huge mods compared to most here. Some of the same small things like I did on the previous, like the remote two way breather for the rear diff and other hidden things, fab some smaller lockdown things for the bed and gas cans. One of the first I did back then on the '13 was add the Firestone air bags for the rear, also for general sagging. But I'd also haul firewood around from our hill a good bit, many bags of salt / sand, sometimes a big scoop of dirt from a garden shop. Since they are adjustable I could taylor the pressure (anti-sag) to my needs on the fly, for me they worked great. They were still working after 10 years and no maintenance. So yeah, probably that in spring, won't need till then.

My previous was also my daily driver, and I'd end up with a lot of highway and such miles on it especially the first years. I didn't go too crazy as I didn't want too much fuss if changes made driving less bearable. Now that I'm "retired" with low mileage usage I might look into getting a little spicier with things to help me get lost in the wilds. Again all in spring till I sort it out, and also see if anything comes up first for a warranty fix to be comfortable enough to dive in. Heck, I don't even have the title or permanent registration yet! (goofballs waited three weeks after purchase to send in for it... )

Congrats on retirement! I did that 5 years ago to NEK and find lots to keep me busy. I hope you enjoying your new truck for a long time. Much easier now without all the commuting miles. I remember living in St. Albans driving to Colchester daily in the 90s. Can't imagine doing that today.

I was just in Vermont and saw more Tacomas than anywhere else I've been in the States. Even more than Colorado.

Holy what the... ??? Are you refering to the 35K price tag that came up when I looked at it? Guess they consider it a collector's edition lol. Move the decimal by one spot and I'd actually go for it. I may have to swing in, as I go by there everytime I have to go just about anywhere when needing to spend money, and laugh right directly in their faces!

Also, I see "4x4" in one spot, and "RWD" in another.. ??? Pretty lame for them all around.

I didn’t pay that for my 18 or with 40k on it.
They used to be a decent dealer not sure what’s going on with them.
Bought my current taco from handy Chevrolet their in the same lot as handy Toyota.

post if you’re around, my house is in St Albans love to meet up some time.

Yeah, only had to plow once really. I've gotten into trying to use a leaf blower when possible. If it's less than 2" and fluffy works good on my massively uneven gravel driveway. Looks perfectly clean after and cuts down on ice later from driving and packing the snow. Easy on the deck and walkway too.

Last time I went to their service 6 or so years ago to get new tires put on the rims, took 3 hours. Blah. Then they had to come out and give me all the "recommendeds" from their multi point insp. which I didn't ask for and didn't want them wasting my time on... Seems they've fallen into typical dealer-isms, although when I was trying to get rolling on my new Taco some months back, it wasn't horrible. Allocated with no money down. Just ended up somewher else that had it in stock already.

Meet up - yahhh. Hmmm - were you the one that put together the (unfortunately lol) small gathering some years back, in Essex? If so, I may have been there...:anonymous: (J/K - I was the one with long hair in the black off road)

Should try to pull some peeps together, maybe get me motivated to start modding finally

Oof, that's always sad to hear. I wasn't bouncing around on TW too much for quite a while until this past half year and didn't know.

And, from so long ago "James" is probably why I thought it was you lol "J" = "J"

I think, for better or worse, I also convinced Simon's Mom to keep her 2013 in the above posts last fall... heheh

Side note for those with getting the shakes from lack of snow - my sister from the Lehigh Valley just wrote me and said they got almost 11". May need to head south to play...
