Thinking of picking up a pair of Vertex Standard VX-261 UHF handheld radios for hunting, fishing, general outdoor exploring. Maine is heavily forested, thus the UHF (had to research that vs VHF). Primary use would be on foot, but may also use vehicle to vehicle.

Anyone have any experience with these as far as range, general feedback, etc.
