I have a 2021 TRD Pro with a moonroof and adjustable heated seats.

I'm 6'3" and when I first bought the car, I had my head totally buzzed. Now that I am growing my hair back in (it's only like an inch long now) it keeps rubbing on the roof! And I have the seat all the way down.

I've researched but haven't really found too many promising solutions, despite many people asking over the years. I looked at maybe ten threads and it sounds like someone may have removed cushioning from the seat and that seems to be the only potential solution, and I'm hesitant to even try that. Any other advice? Can part of the roof interior be cut out so my head can fit in there? Maybe it'd look a little bit funny but sounds like it could work.

I am going to try losing 25 lbs. too lol.... not only will that be healthy, but it'll take some blubber off my ass and maybe sink me a little bit lower.

suck it up for another 6 months and buy a 2022 Tundra TRD Pro, you should lose no money selling your Tacoma, basically you just leased it for free

if you really want to stay within Tacoma, desert does it sells a set of seat jacker, it changes the recline angle so your head will stick out more diagonal than vertical, maybe that'll help

Damn.... Now you have me looking at Tundras. There are some 2021 TRD Pro's local to me that I could probably trade for. But I'd miss you guys, and the gas mileage would annoy the hell out out me :)

Thanks, maybe I will check those seat jackers out.

Just a thought. Most Toyota trucks with sunroof option have less headroom. Try sitting in a non sunroof truck.

I’m 6’2 and have around half a foot of headroom with my OR. Maybe trade in? In the Miata world, many tall drivers bolt the seat directly to the tub or use low profile seat rails. Maybe there is a kit you can use? Many also do foam-otomy, which means taking the seat cover off and cutting a small portion of foam out. This gained me a few inches in my Miata and I hardly notice a difference. Probably your best bet.

I’m 6’4” - noticed the headroom issue on test drive, that was the unselling point of the premium package. Sorry man, your options are, shave your head, try seat jackers, or trade it for non premium package.

Put a ratchet strap across your lap to really squish you down in the seat.
