This is done a lot on eBay. I saw a Samsung tablet for $6,300 the other day. I think what's really going on is that you have companies that have several different eBay accounts that game the pricing system by listing items at insane prices, then a few days later they'll drop the price drastically and eBay will send all the people who looked at it an email and tell them the price has been cut. Also they load the listings up with ridiculous prices so some people will think the item is in short supply and will buy it from their other eBay account that has it for a lower (yet still too high) price.

I would not do business with anyone who plays these games.

 

Here and I thought the blog that started with "very confused on this" was something better than the price of an online auction, who the f cares what they list it at, there are plenty of others out their selling the same thing with actual inventory that would ship faster and are cheaper.

You do know that eBay is more than just a website, and that it is also a mobile app right? They probably listed it to deter you from purchasing like they said. The mobile app doesn't provide "inventory" or shipping delivery times only a price. They probably saved you the hassle of buying something that wasn't available right away. Sounds stupid, but reasonable, since no moron is going to buy it at 5k, ever!

I was looking through this Trends Auto store that you had mentioned. Looks like most of every other product of theirs is priced like everyone else's, most of the stuff is actually cheaper, and they are a top rated seller on eBay, you know it's pretty hard to meet those standards actually, this isn't going to stop me from buying anything from them anytime soon. Sounds like people are making a bigger deal over a pricing of a specific product. It doesn't look like their catalog is at all over priced.

Thanks alot guys, now you have me looking at products I was never intending to purchase... Oh well tax time is coming up and I have some extra money to burn. I'm not as big of a dingleberry as most people to disregard buying something from a company because some of their products are over priced. Especially online.

No actually I am looking for some tips on how to get better gas mileage out of my 2014 Tacoma. Any thoughts? I was thinking of putting a body lift kit and some bigger tires. That should work right. Or does anybody think that a suspension kit would be better? Im kinda new to modifying vehicles period... Or should I start myself a new thread and get some helpful advice?

 

Get a 6 inch body lift and a 3 inch suspension. Your ride would be sick.
