I have a 2021 Pro with 35,000 miles. Over the past month I’ve noticed a very very slight shudder that stays fairly constant and wouldn’t be noticeable to those who don’t think about cars/trucks. Has anyone experienced this? Possibly it may be the tires reaching their end of life but part of me thinks it could be a loose spark plug? I don’t have any check engine lights on. I don’t believe it is inferior gas. Appreciate any ideas from this great resource. Thanks!

Don’t know if this could be the cause by I had an Alu-Cab Canopy Camper installed a couple of months ago.

Never. I’m planning to replace the tires in another 5k miles so I can live with the shudder until then if this is the cause.

If it started after the Alu-Cab install, I’m thinking it’s driveline vibration. I’m guessing it’s squatting more now.

Everything was fine until about when you installed the shell? It's probably either that new weight on the back or your tires are done. Or both. Get your new tires then report back.

This is exactly why I posted here. I knew the experience and knowledge here is invaluable. Whether it actually is the camper causing the issue, and I’m guessing it is at least a contributing factor, it is certainly something to look into. Thanks you!

Based on your inputs so far I believe the shell is, at a minimum, causing my nearing-end-of-life tires to be contributing to that very subtle shudder. I’m going to put some tires on in April and I’ll report back. I’ve got a cross-country trip coming up in May.

I’m thinking of going with some skinny KO2’s [235-85-16]? I will get a slight bump in clearance height, push the MPG in the right direction- due to tire width not increased tire weight, and be better situated for any terrain troubles.
