    Really odd
    2020 sr5 v6 4x4
    30k odometer
I have heard it’s somewhat normal to have a clunk going from reverse , into drive
But this is like something is binding or just off..
If I go a few feet in reverse, and then put into park
And let off the break, there is a loud click and I can actually feel the click through the shift selector
    It’s not every time
The windows are down so you can hear the click louder than you would normally
It doesn’t seem I can upload a video but
I uploaded it to you tube

Just guessing but maybe a lazy or delayed automatic door unlock. Perhaps also the transmission parking pawl engagement.
Set your emergency brake before you take your foot off the brake after putting in Park and see if it still happens.

I'll have to try it on my 2020 SR5 and see if I can duplicate it.

    Thank you
Pretty sure it’s the parking pawl. After researching some more , and trying a few things , I can make it park without it now .
I also parked flat ground (without the click) and then got out and pushed the truck forward just a tiny bit and then it clicked into park. So pretty sure that is it.
im just so over aware of every little
Click clunk or anything , just trying to make sure it ain’t broke.

Mine makes that clicking sound almost every time she goes into park, yes flat ground.
    I just don't care anymore.

    Oh look, another mod....
If I DON'T hear this noise, then I get worried something is wrong.

I guess I’ve just been overly concerned something might break ‍but glad to hear it’s normal.
    I appreciate the feedback
