Randomly when I try to start my truck all my lights come on like normal but when I go to turn the motor over I hear this click sound coming from the starter area under the hood & then everything electronic shuts off in the cab. Dash lights dome lights stereo, everything. After about 5 seconds or so the electronics come back with my clock reset & that will just keep happening. After about 30 minutes to an hour it will usually fire up like normal & then might not do it again for 2 weeks or more but lately it has gotten much worse. Left me stranded 5 times between Friday & Saturday. Yesterday when it did it I was on a hill & found out that I can still start it by power starting it by rolling it down the hill & dropping the clutch it will fire right up.

-Battery tested out perfect & is only a year old.
-Cleaned terminals & made sure they're tight.
    -Can be power started.
-Jump starting did nothing at all.

I was thinking maybe its the starter that is failing & sometimes has enough drag to overload a relay of some sort that shuts everything down for a few seconds??? Was going to replace the starter today just in case but hate to waste $100 if that isn't my actual problem.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
If the problem started since the new battery was installed I'd tend to think that is the problem. I'd try another battery.

Nope battery was a little over a year ago & problem started about a month or so ago. Had two different shops do a load test on battery & it tested out as being good.

Check to see that your ground connections are clean and tight.

Do you have an immobilizer or remote starting system?

most times its just bad connections or corrosion inside them.

remove and clean battery connections and the other ends of the cables at the starter and the main ground, this fixes most problems like this. if it doesn't then use jumper cables to replace the wire to see if its a bad wire. ohm testing wires means nothing because they can have good continuity yet not allow amps to flow so the only test for that is a jumper wire, or in this case, a jumper cable.

I agree, this right here, bad cable and more than likely it's under the insulation, like he said go around it with known good jumper and see if that doesn't allow it to get the umphhh behind it to turn over.

Some baking soda and water does wonders on corroded battery terminals.
Also, electrical connections get hot with inadequate connection. I have seen battery terminals melt clean off because of poor connection.
