No. When I was in the market for one I was curious of the same thing but anything for the same quality with g sensors was a little more money. But you can view footage from the device.

    "Very useful"?

This looks like an unequivocal "must buy" for anyone who drives a Tacoma to me.

Sorry for the rattling in the video I just realized. I guess I have to adjust it a bit more.

I work in the IT industry for an insurance company. Sometimes these things are a must have. When someone is in an accident that isn't at fault but is difficult to tell who truly was at fault due to lack of witnesses clues etc these things are a must have to prove you weren't doing anything wrong.

Nice write up . I think sometimes people, not just up here but all places, look to jump on someone to find any minor detail that might be "wrong" and try their hardest to prove why they think it's wrong.

I definitely see how useful this can be. A few years ago I had a guy sideswipe me in a YMCA parking lot while I was waiting for a parking space to open up and then had the nerve to deny what he had done! And his insurance agent refused to cooperate with me. If I had had a video of the incident it would have been more than my word against his lies.
The real question is how well this will hold up and will having this encourage theft or vandalism.

just saying, but WASP cams are a bit cheaper than gopros and gopro is just marketing.
Specs on WASP action cams are actually better than gopro.

Gopro is no different than Apple or Bose. Have great marketing so everyone thinks they're the best. In some cases they are, but in many they really aren't all that great. Hell I'll take my Sennheiser HD25-II over any bose or beats. I'll take my galaxy s7 over an iPhone, and I am much happier with my Wasp cam than I was with the gopro I had.

But anyways, I like my placement of dashcam behind the mirror.

Thanks. I understand where some people can come from. Some people are never wrong
or are have strong opinions. I wasn't trying to force it down anyone's throat just looking to help people out. Some people total their cars in a word vs word accident and without evidence they get the short end of the stick, if they didn't have full coverage.

I'm sorry that happened. It happens all the time especially here in NY. And not sure what you mean by encourage theft or vandalism? Meaning they may steal the camera or purposlely do something stupid infront of the camera?

Hell, even if it doesn't pass the smell test I'm game.

Dash cam in the Bay Area might be a good thing

By theft or vandalism, I meant that people might see the camera and break into my truck to steal it.

Gotcha. You can easily remove it from the mount. Don't think someone is dumb enough to break into a car with a camera. Yet again people are morons. I love watching the video after a car wash because when they see it they all point to it and don't say anything.
