    To OP, did you just plug it into the 12V? I'm on the fence of getting one, however, I really want to hard wire it into the 12v that way I can still utilize the 12v. Also, is that the highest video setting? Thanks

    Yes this was the highest setting. And you can hard wire it but I chose not to because I have a triple USB drive in my 12v inside the console and I still have two left.
