Any vets out there? I need some help. My 7 yo Saint Bernard tore his carpal pad pretty deep and I’m wondering what to do. It happened on Sunday at some point. I noticed Monday morning and have been doing hydrogen peroxide, triple antibiotic ointment, and fresh gauze everyday. Seemed like it was getting better until tonight. He chewed off the ace bandage and was licking it. The hydrogen peroxide caused him to run away from me and it looked like he reopened it. My question is will a vet do anything different? As I mentioned, he is a 7yo Saint Bernard that weighs 150ish lbs. will he need to be put under?
    TIA
