Hey guys just joined this site. I'm from Australia running a Toyota Kluger.

Just decided to come back and start looking at it's tune again. I'm using VF Tuner, the forums for them were taking down unfortunately so I've popped over here with a few queries.

Mines been really hard to nail down with a few things.

Launching 1st gear....... getting full throttle. I've had multiple spots where it closes the throttle....... around 2200-2700rpm, then 4400-4600rpm etc. I've looked at the airload tables, expected vs torque demand etc..... There's no perfect solution, both effect many things. Just wondering what others experiences are with this.

Also tuning the fuel. So just going off the stock widebands, I do have an AEM so the stocks are pretty close but say I aim for 12.5 AFR @ WOT. I found ....... stock where it ran pig rich request wise in that 10-11AFR ........ if you request 12.5 it runs SUPER LEAN. It's like they didn't have a clue the factory tune sucks.

But....... on that point. I've come from a HP Tuners background with VE/MAF on E38 type ECU's etc. On this, it's a pain..... and doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

How are people adjusting the fueling for the general fueling?

I can see there is a MAF Multiplier table, thats what I have been using as the MAF tables listed as like accelerator g/sec....... axis of voltage etc. It doesn't even go up high enough. eg. at full wot I might his 200g a second is it maybe, the maf tapes like 3v 56g or something.

I should post some photos so I am clear, it's on my laptop and I am not on it at the moment.

Just wondering what others experiences are and then has anyone messed with VVT to get more out of it. I don't have a full understanding on how that side of it works from the tuning perspective.

Maybe some more experienced tuners can chime in.

So far........ I figure I need to log MAF voltage somehow, then try adjusting the table in that area and seeing if the fueling falls inline.
