VF Tuner Cable- Sold Please Delete

VF Tuner Cable, Used it once to tune a 2021 Tacoma, showing I still have 5 Credits on it. Not sure how to transfer into someone else's account, that would be up to the buyer. Located in Mt. Pleasant, SC. $180 shipped to the lower 48. Paypal or Zelle, or $175 cash for local pickup.

Considering it likely came with five credits. It's almost as if your account didn't update... I assume Wi-Fi is on. It's kind of crazy. It didn't deduct the four credits for the tune you did.

 

Yes wi-fi was defiantly on, I'm not sure to be honest

Very interested in this...but not sure how the software license will transfer? I have just started looking into getting one this week. Will this only give the hardware or will the software come too?

 

This is who you should ask. And make sure to have account info available so they can tell you if they can transfer to you.

Still waiting on response from them...my fault I just got the email out to them. While waiting, it does look like the license allows for 3 installs. How many have you used?

 

I installed 2 different tunes in my truck ( kdmax 7.0, then updated it to 8.0), not sure if that accounts for 2 installs on the same truck?

 

No I believe it just means software installs on computers. The tune installs are different and use the credits. Sounds like it was only one install on a computer?

Ok so I talked with VF and here is the deal. The software for personal use can only unlock 1 ECU and more credits can only be purchased with the Pro upgrade. Therefore anyone who buys the cable would need to buy the software license to unlock their ECU. Therefore buying it new is cheaper at this price point (software license is $240 solo and kit with software is $399). I think the cable alone is just not worth much...max of $160 and that would make it equal to a new one.

I completely understand that. Once I looked into it I realized that was probably the direction you would take because it wouldn't make much sense for anyone to buy it for more that $75 and that would only save people $75 from new.
