Yeah. The drive link is something that you'll want to DL at home with a/v off.

I'm talking about this one though:

Yeah, that's the one I was talking about as well. It shows up as a Drive link when I click on it and my firewall won't let me connect to it.

Oh! You're right. I forgot that it is coming from my Drive also. Sorry!

No tune pack yet for my 2021 AT 04C20 hopefully soon. Been “patiently” waiting since October

Trying to get my head straight from what I’m seeing in the various OV VF threads...

The main thread had someone respond to me saying that 2021 AT 04C20 files ARE available. In another thread I saw someone say that shift tweaking tune files are available for 04C20 but performance tunes are not.

When you mention them not being available, do you mean at all, per Performance files, or something different?

Thanks. Just trying to figure out what’s all available and for my ‘21.

When that was written the tune pack wasn’t available, but you could edit the stock tune (ecu supported).
As of 12/23 ovtune released the tune pack for 04C20 - I’m running premium_stock currently and much prefer to the stock factory tune.
My understanding the performance tunes aren’t available.
They will be released when ready with a future update.

Thanks! Wish they could say that in a bit more simplified way on the OV site.

Guess I’ll wait until performance 2.0 versions are available. I don’t find the 04C20 in my ‘21 to be that bad. I’ve had friends who owned earlier years and couldn’t stand the lack of tip in plus crazy gear hunting, but mine doesn’t seem that bad. Could be better, for sure, but I’m more interested in an overall tune file that tweaks drivability and performance.

I agree with you that the 21 isn’t that bad with the stock tune. I think the biggest difference w the stock set up vs the tune is that now I don’t feel like I need to push the ect button anymore and it shifts more naturally. My biggest gripe with the stock was a small overpass on interstate it would shift from 6th to 4th. Now it doesn’t do that if it shifts it will go to 5th which is much less noticeable.

The cherry on top for me would be a 2.0 tune that also had the gear hold feature working, along with the refined driving and performance bump. It drives me nuts that the AT has a sport setting but the thing just shifts to whatever it wants whenever jt wants even though you have “3” or “4” or whatever shown on the display.

Looks like Matt chimed in on the main thread mentioning how the base 21 files do bump performance. Interesting.

This is a very hard subject to follow and understand, but by far this is the best thread I’ve come across. Big thanks to the OP.

I’ve read Matt’s updated post and seems he’s not producing any more versions of the TPs or does that mean you can no longer buy the VF software?

I think he’s just on vacation and not selling VF software until later this week. Does seem like he stopped selling package deals with the cable and dongle we need, which is a shame but no huge deal since we can get the cables and dongle elsewhere.

Hoping sometime soon in 2021 we get the announcement of the revamped product that he was touting would be simplified all around.

Copy, thank you. I suppose that’s where companies like Tactrix come in, for supplying the necessary hardware, correct?

Yes. If you are buying the odb2 adapter somewhere, buy it directly from tactrix.com

Most of the ones on Amazon and eBay are knockoffs and you risk it not working or bricking the ecu

One other option that I want to find out from OV VF for sure about, but don’t see why it wouldn’t work, is a mongoose pro cable. My friend who is a tech at Toyota uses his mongoose pro cable to hook up to Techstream and do everything including flash TSB ECU code. Just another option for people like me who have access to one of those rather than spending the $100-$200 on a Tactrix

Has anyone encountered the below message? My laptop crashed, so I attempted to migrate to a Surface and ultimately got another Thinkpad. I'm sure the first laptop and Surface registration is what's causing the count to be exceeded. I don't want the software on multiple computers, but want it on the new laptop.

I'm hoping Mat can resolve this error on his end. Thanks
