Check the OBD fuse. Seems to be the likely culprit if the software thinks your voltage is too low.

I just noticed the VF forum is gone and I was trying to find a changelog to see what's new in 1.6.9.xxx. Anybody have access to something like that?

The changelogs are all gone now.

There have been no major changes unless you are editing tunes. The newest versions always seem to be better. Version 1.7 is coming and is supposed to be another significant change.

It doesn't look like you hit Prepare ECU?

Also, that looks like a way old version of vF. vFTuner often nukes older versions from working to encourage folks to update.

He still has not added the requested note that the logo is the link. Not very obvious.

I just got a new tune and am trying to flash. The updated software is different and I keep getting an Unable to Communicate with ECM.Programming failed error, any ideas?

Glad to be back with a few new tunes to flash but getting an odd voltage too low error. All voltage readings are solid. Posting a screenshot of the error. I keep a dedicted laptop for this sole purpose so it stays at the ready. Ideas or workaround?

It shows your voltage at 13.1 which should be fine. I’m guessing it’s hooked up to a charger? Maybe it thinks it’s too high?

I haven’t seen that error before. I’d try the usual reboot computer. Cycle ignition. Etc.

Hey thanks, yeah voltage was 12.7 or so when i started and i threw the CTEK charger on to be safe but that wasnt it. Ive rebooted, reinstalled drivers, etc. to no avail. Same error. Utterly ridiculous

As long as voltage is over 12, you are fine

I had been running on the ov 2.0 tune up until a few months ago when I purchased a tune from one of the pro tuners. I'm only just now trying to update to the vf tuner software, and wanted to double check that when I go through the steps in post #2, that I won't lose the tune that I'm currently running. I may be missunderstanding the term flash, but I need to make sure I'm not reverted to some stock calibration.

    Thx

It's a head scratcher for sure. I did a full uninstall of software (I had installed the latest version over the top of a previous version) and uninstalled all drivers. Started fresh and the AGM battery is topped off at 12.8. It still gives me an invalid response error. I've had nothing but issues with every flash I've done.

I guess if I took time to RTFM, I'd have realized pressing the R7F Bench flash button, which is new for me compared to the last version I used, that would yield an error. Calibrate ECM...repeat, Calibrate ECM button is the one to press. All good now. Matt replied to my support request. :)
