vF Tuner installation guide & FAQ

Flash kit owner here. If I upgrade to vf tuner do I have to buy the tune pack or I just need to request the tune pack via zendesk? Thanks

Ring the bell on the new forum.

When you upgrade, you get a vF License and one Tune Pack. Be sure to request the one for the latest TSB flash. If you're an AT hold out as long as possible as a new TSB has to be coming to match the one for the MTs.

After updating to latest VF tuner software data log isn't connecting. I'm able to flash the truck no problem but get a cable not connected when clicking on connect. Any ideas of what might be wrong?

 

I believe that’s a known bug in the current release that should be fixed shortly in an update

same issue over here not able to Run Logger ... What can we do ?

 

Mat says they're aware of it and are working on a solution. I asked specifically how I would know if it was fixed or if it would would require a new Software version and haven't heard back.

 

Bought the stock tune pack, ready to flash...but what is the difference between 04A61_Premium_35_Thx_5.29 and the non Thx file? Not quite ready to customize anything yet (my tires are not 35, they are 33.8" and need to up the voltage for my AGM battery) but I want to load a premium fuel and 5.29 gears stock tune from the pack. I get the reg vs premium and gears and tires, just not the Thx.

 

Thx is modified throttle response. I’d start with non-thx for your first tune and you can always change later on.

I was a OV tune owner prior to vf, I downloaded the new toyota flash tool version to flash the existing premade 2.0 files, does anyone have any idea why everything is greyed out here? I know probably a stupid question

 

Check the system ID shown and the one for your reg file. Likely your system ID has changed.

Trying to download software for the first time. Never able to load for some reason get this error message. Any help would be great I’ve emailed orange virus but no response for a couple weeks figured I would come here for some assistance.
