Hi guys, might sound noob.....Actually using HH for my 2017 tacoma, saw the sale and bought vftuner and cables. I dont live in the US, but i saw like 20+ tacomas going around and they ask me about the ovtune 2.0 which am actually using. They just want the base 2.0 ovtune released few month ago, no intention in editing or stuff like that. Can I unlocks each ECU and uses those 2.0 last releases and flash it with the vftuner??If yes then who got the links for those files, if no then how can I do it?Those are pf5 files right??

If you have the .p5f files then there's no need to unlock the ECU's for any of those files.

No, the tune pack are files specifically to the ECU that you email Matt. And those files you will receive will be .vft files, which are tunable. The .p5f files are not editable.

 

Sooo is there someone that wants to start a dropbox of different vft ecu’s and we can compile some together? I mean if that’s kosher and all... 300 more for each ecu after spening over 700 seems kind of ludicrous to tune a friends truck.

edit/ I don't want to break any rules so if this isn't kosher I will hold off on that.

 

For a tune pack I think it's appropriate, especially because the tunes are changeable. IMO, you only need one tune pack. Unlock the next ECU and make some changes to match with the maps that are compatible between different ECU's (that's probably the most difficult part). Or, don't unlock any other ECU and just find a tune made by someone on here. Should send them some beer money though.

Yes I get that. But it does cost 300 to get access for the tune pack for that new ECU. I'd be down to start one with custom tunes from members here for various ECU's if we are expected not to share the packs. I'm not at a point where I am able to change maps etc yet waiting for a seminar. If people are interested pm me your email and i'll add you to it I just started a dropbox

Why would you need the tune pack? You can get a tune for that ecu from anyone with that particular calibration and you can copy or edit it. I paid to unlock my ecu for a particular guy on here and then I sent him Mat’s tune that I was running to start editing from.

 

The .p5f files for AT's can still be downloaded. Just gotta know where to look.

 

So I just have to compile all those 2.0 pf5 for all those ECU, use the vftuner to flash them and that's it??I was just hopin to at least recover from the HH spendingby putting some 2.0 for others folks nearby.

Might be wrong but I don’t think you can flash p5f files with vFtuner fm.
