I'm reading your stories and in my head it's just like "Cool story bro"...
But seriously, I'm just jealous. I'm pulling a 4500 lb camper with my overweight pig on 33s with stock gears, and I see it going into 3rd even though Nebraska...
Eisenhower Tunnel (pass?) in Colorado 6-11K, down to 2nd gear. Trans Temps through the roof. And all that using @Mooseditty17 tow tune.

I had a slow going build, and all of the sudden the camper entered our life and things have changed. Anyways, I really regret not investeing into re-gear now

Don’t listen to @Chadr7858 sell the truck and get a full size to pull the camper!

    stock gears are rough.

Crossed my mind more than twice during our trip, but it's not happening right now. Especially after I saw a rav4 hooked up to a camper (*almost) identical to ours. Gears maybe, possibly in the spring.

I'm guessing *almost is a key word. But maybe it was a good salesperson.

    What Chadr7858 said.

Here is my experience from the last trip same location/elevations as Chad with my 2016 TRDOR V6 SBDC AT, 4.88, stock tires, 6112/5160, and Magnuson SC.

Towing a camper (2250 dry weight) and a few hundred pounds of stuff. Maintaining speed highway limit was no problem. Used S mode and locked it down to 4th on long grades up Eisenhower and Vail (both directions out and back). About 3500 rpm - plenty of power as that is middle of boost (probably 8 psi). 60 to 65 mph with no issue, and able to pass easily without downshift. Magnuson SC made it run way better - totally different machine than the NA was. Averaged 18mpg while towing - trips btwn Palisade and Montrose/Delta not towing we averaged 23 mpg at 65 mph.

Dang. That makes it almost worth it. Especially if you're not planning to sell the truck..

It always seemed inevitable that the original promise of "buy once, tune as many vehicles as you want" would never last, but I have to say the way its been piecemeal patched has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Hopefully they've finally got the business and distribution models figured out and we can start seeing some of the other promised deliverables such as training sessions and the ultimate tunes.

no need to sell it now. Different story when it was NA even with .vft. will say the .vft shifting logic is better than the Maggy release. Hopefully Maggy will get that fixed. Driving the truck now is so much better there is no reason to sell it. The software to flash comes directly from a Maggy download and they deal with the .vft Vendor so I don't have to be concerned about the Vendor changing the rules. That is another positive considering what is going on now.

I was afraid to check what I spent in Canadian dollars. I spent $1000 to buy a system, and now the terms of use have changed overnight in a pretty dramatic way.

Does anyone have an unedited ov tune file for 04B81, 33 inch tires, stock gears, that you be willing to share. I'm updating my ECU and my current files are for 04B80. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I was in your situation. If your purchased that file from matt, it won't be an issue getting an update file from him. Unless you are going to edit/create your own tune. Get the valley tune. It's worth it.

I did purchase, and sent request to Matt, but they are pretty backed up right now on sending the files, so was gonna try and get one a little quicker if possible. They are swamped over there!

And what is the valley tune? I'm definitely a newbie at this.
