I'm using Surface Pro without any issues. Works just fine for me.

Is there a trick to converting a tune from one ECU ID to another? I started to copy and paste values and realized that maybe I should ask before I subjected myself to voluntary torture.

Yes, careful attention to detail for starters.

Id like to know the answer for this as well.

So what I did (and somebody correct me if this is wrong) take a stock file of the same ECU ID and the modified file, compared bins. The made a long word doc of all the bolded categories. The comparison function pulls a lot of false negatives that say there are differences but when you look there aren't. I'm now thinning out what changes actually do exist on the word doc, so I can much more quickly copy values over to a different ECU ID file.

No idea how the axis got messed up like this, but anyone have an idea on how to fix it and delete axis values?

Some maps do look like that, I've stumbled upon them before. If it's truly screwed up, you can always open a known good file and copy the values back. I think 1.5.0 added a feature to undo, but have yet to test it.

Anyone have the VF tuner app stop responding after trying to reset the third learning value?
I can reset the first two but by the time I get to the third the app stopped responding I have to close it open it and reset the third one

Can you show a screenshot of what you're selecting? I only know of 2 resets, ECU and TCU. The 3rd "reset" is DTC's, and that shouldn't cause any hangups within VF.

Yea that’s the third. It doesn’t matter what order I go in, it seems when I reset the third from that list I’ll get the “not responding” next to vf tuner

    like, infinitely?

vf1.5 is quite bloated now. Even with 1.4.4 I'd get the spinning wheel. I usually just click on the screen somewhere to prompt the partial graying out while it does that and let it figure out its life. And I use a barely capable laptop that was originally only intended to run the OG OVT flash tool. It even happens on my gaming PC from time to time when saving files.

Just upgraded to vf1.5 from 1.4.4 and now I can only open the program when the laptop is plugged into the OBDII port with the truck on. Every time I try it tells me to plug in the cable and then shuts down :(.
Pretty sure this isn't a new feature, anyone else running into this?

Odd, so I either need a 45ft OBD cable or I have to sit in the truck to work on a tune mod. I guess it's a security thing but it's already tied to my VIN so not sure why the extra layer?

You only need to plug the Tactrix into the computer, you do not need it plugged into your vehicle.
