thanks, I thought that was all.

Do you know if this works with the VFTune Lite version or just the paid?

That I'm not sure. But I also think you're able to flash the .vft files still. There was a point where you could change the drop-down for file type when selecting the calibration file.

thanks for the info, I still need to get my new computer registered and update to 1.6 and then try to see what I can do. Then I need to find people that saved all the old .vft files, I was not forward thinking enough to save all of them that came out.

I think Mat said that v1.6 had converted all the VFT files to VFC

Are you thinking converting .vft files or the older .p5f files? The 1.05 tunes and 2.0 beta tunes were p5f and to date, I have not seen any of those converted to the new .vfc format. Also, so many good new and more refined tunes are available I’m not sure why you’d want the old p5f tunes anyway.

Yes, I was looking at converting a .p5f file.

I have the dump tubes installed and haven't seen anyone doing tunes for them. I have asked a couple of the guys doing tunes and they specifically said they aren't messing with the emissions

YotaWerx had dump tube customers when we were Coyoza, and one our testers for our new tune update has dump tubes: @su.b.rat

    you're in a AT truck?

Yotawerx is the best i know, but it's an MT tune. there are other tuners who can set you up. my understanding is the tunes for the dump tubes are the same tunes with the CEL switched off, which is an available option in vF. that's one that any vF tuner can accommodate for you on request.

on the other hand if you can get a tuner to analyze some logging you've done through vF, then maybe they can actually dial in your performance and make even more with the tubes. the tubes can change performance as you know, but getting a dial-in will be what you're actually wanting if you bought & installed the tubes in the first place. but even without a tune they are good.

if you are serious about obtaining all the performance this motor can offer, then i strongly recommend Solid Off-road solid motor mounts for our V6. beyond a tune this is hands-down the greatest performance enhancement available. and I'm saying that even with the SC in mind cus i know about it!

I think @mZiggy has AT tunes (or will).

its been a long time since I installed the tubes and got the initial tune, I'm gonna go back and check the old thread but I'm fairly certain there was more to Matt's initial tunes than just turning off the cell. And if it turns out that's all there was then he sold us some snake oil.

We have current tunes for AT, but the testing/update project is a massive overhaul. Complete game changer really.

no, not snake oil. if you never saw a difference in performance i would believe it's because the whole package isn't supporting the change from the tubes. this little motor needs attention on multiple fronts to wake up, and the tubes are definitely part but not at all complete alone. i did everything in stages so could clearly see the change from adding the tubes on a given tune, then asking enhancements and watching them wake up step by step.

I'm still looking back thru the old threads, damn th info is scattered. I just seem to recall him mentioning some ignition and or valve timing changes to take into account for the added air flow.

that is old info and not built on the foundations of all the logging and tuning done by so many around here since then. i don't know why you'd go back and even look for that... it wasn't even data-driven as i remember.

I'm still saying that if you want your tubes on your truck to run with the right tune, then the best option is to employ a tuner to analyze logs you provide and dial you in. you could run my file but all my exhaust downstream is custom so you may not be optimally dialed-in, but that whole bit of thinking is better for @mZiggy rather than me.

Excuse me I'm interested in the dump tubes your running correct me if I'm asking the wrong guy. I've been modding my Tacoma for almost 5yrs . Everything from bolt ons on the motor to suspension and ect.... I'm really considering getting rid of my last two cats, the ones closest to the motor . I was looking into getting performance dump tubes without cats . Only thing that is keeping from purchasing is the CEL everyone is getting . Enlighten me if there is any updates? Which products that are recommend for performance dump tubes ? Thank you in advance. "shotgunbilly420"
