Look at @Stormpeacock page 36 he has a link to vf mod support. It's an excel product and lets you know what mods/changes to the tune maps.

After matching my primary shifting tables to the 6 & 8 maps I had a very very rare occurrence. My truck actually upshifted to 6th gear while using cruise control going up a hill.

Thanks to whoever provider the 04b31 stock 35s file. I am running 33s but it seems better then the base 2.0 I have been running for some time now. I am still trying to understand how I went from being provided tunes via flash manager, to being at the mercy for someone here to provide tunes. Theres a lot I have missed and trying to catch up on.

I tried updating to 04b33 from 04b31 and getting errors from the CU file. Ive had issues with Techstream in the past and running a version i bought for $10 off eBay, so that might be the issue there. I'll get around to it, one day.

I’ll have to try and log it to make sure it actually was 6th. But the rpms & speed sure seemed like 6th! Maybe just another 5th gear

Yeah, I’m just trying to stay up to date using the laptop. There’s 500 pages of vf tuner and tuning that I’m running in circles on and feel lost and left behind. I’m pretty sure I grabbed a few 31 files provided by you, so thank you for that. I’ll look into updated my ECU to 33.

Wait a week or two. I’ll get some 33 tunes out there for the masses.

1st of all, thanks for sharing the tune.

    I gave it a try.

I'm not a fan of holding 6th that long when transition from somewhat flat road to long incline. 6 to 5 downshift is happening when the accelerator is 31* on the tune. This will probably ok on the flat terrain, but here I need an early downshift to maintain the momentum on the incline without a significant speed decay. I had set up mine a while ago to downshift between 26-27*.

5 to 4 downshift is happening and happening too soon on the incline. set CC speed to 76 and the downshift happened at 74. I had some success to hold 5th longer, but now I'm leaning towards the downshift to 4th. Holding 5th by adjusting TC locking/unlocking requires to monitor TC temps and TC temp is rising quicker when on long incline.
I was able to The good thing is that 4 to 5 upshift under CC is working better. I decreased the speed by one click and upshifted while on incline and stayed in 5th.

Nice. I agree. I’m going to make a few minor adjustments like you mentioned. I drove 150 miles yesterday on hilly highway and it is improved, just needs minor adjustments.
    Thanks for the feedback.

On flat and small inclines the tune is Awesome, held 65MPH in 6th never dropping. I like @Vlady am in a mountainous area here is some data on my first 20 mile warmup flat/small incline.

Mountainous numbers: First drop to 5th. Then 5-4 and stayed there...steep long incline.Screenshot_20210102-154059.jpg Screenshot_20210102-154552.jpg

The 33 tune posted is pretty good. Way better than the TSB. Flash it up!

I was running 04b30 VF 2.0 prem tune and did the tsb update to 04b33, do I need to buy additional credits to flash the the 2.0Vf 04b33 tunes that are post in this thread?

    Thanks

No. You need extra credits if you want to edit the files.

Otherwise you just save and flash.

The Tune was for 32” tires and I believe yours are smaller, right? Could that be making a difference in how the tune reacts to your test drive. I have 265/75/16 C load and live South of PDX. DaCruiser1.0 shifted very well for me yesterday on about 150 miles of hilly terrain.
